Our stay at Hotel Lero was fantastic! The staff worked tremendously hard to ensure we had the best experience. Our room was beautiful and overlooked the ocean. The food was excellent with a lot of variety (both breakfast and dinner). Everything was clean. It was a short walking distance (20-25mins) from Dubrovnik (for young couples it’s really an easy, pleasant walk), for older couples there is a direct bus just outside the hotel. We both had an amazing time. What we loved too were the small touches, when there was a tiny issue that the hotel resolved very quickly, they sent us a fruit basket and wine - it just showed how much they value their customers. A brilliant place to stay - I really do recommend it, you’ll have an amazing time! (P.S. When you go (and you 100% should), be aware Dubrovnik is both stunningly beautiful and pretty expensive. To climb the walls around the city it’s now 35 Euros each (but it covers the 15 Euros entry to the small castle outside the city too [which they didn’t tell us at the walls]), and to visit Lokrum (the island nature reserve next to Dubrovnik) it’s 27 Euros each. The cable car to the fort is rather extortionately priced too - but you can walk up there - my partner and I did and the views are spectacular (it is one heck of a trek though - don’t do it if the weather is really hot or you’ll really struggle). There is also a small city tax you have to pay at the end of your stay which for us after 14 days was about £80. I would say, without doubt, the expense is worth it, but it’s something to be aware of and to budget for. A top tip is if you are in the city and you want something small to eat, there is a bakery outside the city walls (just outside the opposite end of the city to Hotel Lero). The bakery is much cheaper than any food outlet within the walls, and the sausage rolls, donuts etc are great!

Hotel Lero has exceptional staff who, right from the reception, greet you warmly with smiles and interest, then accompany you anywhere, be it to the parking lot, room or restaurant, where they present you in detail all the opportunities, you can't help but be impressed by the care and the attention you get. The reception is spacious, modernly furnished and has two elevator areas. The entrance bar is always full. The rooms are spacious and modern, as are the bathrooms. The restaurant is a buffet with everything you want, but you can also order "a la carte". You never have a way to try all the goodies that are offered to you in the many ways that are available. The staff is operative and friendly. At the exit of the hotel, in both directions, about 50 meters away, there are bus stops that can take you to the beaches, Cetate or Bus station, respectively the Airport. We are writing this description about the hotel, not because these qualities are an accident, but because we were in it for the second time and noticed the quality and professionalism increasing over time, which is why we congratulate the whole team, from the staff to all whom we met but we thank them for the way they treat their guests. We recommend this hotel, which is worth going to if you visit the city of Dubrovnik.

The hotel deserves the highest rates. The room is spacious, clean and warm, bathroom has bath what is rare. Stay there was comfortable. I was impressed by staff which is kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are perfect. My dreaam is to revisit Hotel Lero at summer and immerse myself in the lovely swimming pool in courtyard. Perfect stay at Hotel Lero, congratulations to staff and management team.

We’ve enjoyed very nice stay during Easter holidays. Hotel room was very comfortable, breakfast offered very wide selection of meals (it was literally like a brunch) and the location (15-20 min of nice sea shore walk to old town) was just perfect. Just a few steps from the hotel you’ll find one of the most amazing little beaches with emerald water, it’s called Bellevue. 100% recommending!

Eva

It takes about 25 minutes walk to the old town, so it may not be suitable for some people, but we were glad we stayed here because we walked all the way to the old town, enjoying the view of the sea. If you buy a Dubrovnik Pass, you can also ride the buses for free. The hotel staff was friendly. There is a small supermarket about 5 minutes walk away where you can buy water etc.
